hi all ........my girlfriend and i are planning on going to the gran canaria for a week .......the thing is ive got chest acne .... will i look like a freak if im going around in a t-shirt the whole day ?

Nope you'll look fine. Most people wear t-shirts so they dont get burnt.

FYI the sun usually clears up spots so maybe if you're that paranoid about it you could head somewhere quite and go topless? But use sunscreen.

Who cares, really? Be comfortable.

Mind you, letting the sun at it for 20 mins each day might actually help, depending on how your particular skin reacts (but getting it even mildly sun-burned *definitely* won't!)

By the way, if you're going to the Play del Ingles / Maspalomas area, you'll find that about a mile of the beach in between is "clothing optional" ... and that the the 80 year old German grannies / grand-dads don't ask "will I look like a freak?" before they strip off everything and wander round!

Gran Canaria generally is very laid-back.

No problem with it at all op. Ive never been anywhere on holiday without wearing a shirt. Just wouldn't feel comfortable without it, even with temperatures soaring into the 40s.

I find it very odd that so many people think its fine to walk around with no shirt on the moment the temperature rises above 21 degrees. I'd love to see these people dropped into the Kalahari if they think that its unbearable at that temperature
