driving test in the north?

    About to do the theory test. Was maybe considering doing the driving test in the north because completeing the 12 compulsory driving lessons arent necessary.

    You would have to obtain a UK provisional license. Which also means you would have to be a resident in the north to do so.

    Your Irish learner permit is only valid in the republic.

    It's pretty much a non runner.

    I am not resident in the North, was up to about 25 yrs ago. I still use my UK licence here. Never had any issues when stopped by the guards. You could just use a friend's/relative's address as I do.
