Please help - urgent query

    Hi there, query I'm really worried about. I'm waiting on my social welfare job seekers allowance to come through, it's already been months. anyway they did a house visit today when I was actually there, but at 10am, and my housemate thought I was gone for some reason and told her I wasn't there. Thing is I had already booked a ticket to go to Dublin tomorrow morning for a week to hand out CV's there and see about a job, I was also going to visit a few friends and talk to a recruiter. Thing is, I really want this Dole to go through, and I'm really worried they'll call a few times in the next week and decide I don't live there and pull my payment. Can I call them in the morning and explain that, and is that acceptable? Also, does anyone know if they miss you do they normally call again at 7am the next morning, I was going to get the train at about 6am, but if I was fairly sure they would call again at that time I'd miss it and get a later time. I'm really stretched now and really just need it to go through.

    Really you should have told them in advance you would be unable for a visit this week. Ring them tomorrow and tell them anyway. Say you have your ticket booked and will be away for the week to hand out c.v's.

    There is no way to know what time they'll call out at..it could be anytime so you'll just have to wait for them to call again
