Hi I have received a personal cheque today but i wanted the money before the weekend so did not really want to lodge it to my account as it takes too long. Does anyone know if a bank will cash a cheque?

Go to the bank it is drawn from and bring ID with you. That's presuming it's not a crossed cheque.

you can only cash the cheque in the branch of the bank where the account for the cheque is. It will say it on the cheque
