    Hi,
Specifically for Debian type systems - probably Ubuntu or another derivative that I can discuss further.

I need systems setup, scripts to do certain tasks, monitoring setup etc.
I will also need the person to advise on other things that could be implemented.

I want someone who knows what there at. I know abit of Linux including using quite alot of command line tools but this is an investment system I have running so I need someone to make sure everything is done right.

It's just a case of setting up one system and duplicating it over to other machines which have the exact same hardware.

I'm on my own here with the equipment set up domestically so I don't have a large budget at all. I don't even know how much this would cost so I may end up having to do it myself or going with one of the freelancer sites on the net.

Let me know if your interested to talk further.

    Thanks a mill.

An investment system? Ok you need to be really careful. If this system is worth any money, throw a little more money at it and get a professional in. Dont hire off a website. Otherwise you are setting yourself up for being swindled or worse.

Well I don't have the money to pay someone 3 or 400 a day. I also couldn't go through an IT company as that would probably guarantee at least the above - probably up to 1k.

I'm based in the west and would need to get someone that does this kind of work in the evenings or weekends. Like getting an electrician out in the evening to do independent work - can't think of the term at the moment.

Really appreciate that advice though - your dead right come to think of it. Problem is, having no experience at this I didn't factor in these kind of costs. I overlooked cooling issues which I need to fork out alot for now and getting an electrician to come in and wire up some seperate circuits.

I want to get them up and running stable now - I thought I would do this myself and probably could but it would be more better to get someone experienced in to avoid any headaches. I'm losing money when there sitting sitting switched off.

By the way can you give any pointers on where to find someone to do this kind of work syklops?

    Thanks.

Email the Irish Linux Users Group at ilug@linux.ie with what you need, you will have a better chance of finding an honest admin, who is happy to help

If you are dealing with any kind of money system, you need to be really careful about information leakage. From your opening post here, anyone reading it knows you are running Debian / Ubuntu systems, on some fairly serious hardware that you need cooling for. I would now be careful about any PMs you get off this site referring to the ad.

Ok. I am on a different network to the one I'll be running the equipment on right now anyway. I'll check out that group. Thanks.

You are more than welcome to get in touch with me. I may not be in a position to help directly, but can certainly advise you.
BTW, I live in Galway, so probably reasonably near you.

I'd be willing to setup your system, and also show you around the system (so that you can prove to yourself that there are no backdoors, etc.)

PM me if you'd like. I'd be delighted to help.
