iPod Touch trying to skip first song

My iPod Touch has started doing an odd thing. It seems to only happen when I play an album for the first time after syncing it to the iPod. When I select the first song, it automatically skips right to the end of that song and goes to the next song. If I click the rewind button to go back, it just does the same thing again. The only way is to try and grab the scrubber bar and drag it back. If I do this succesfully, I can then play the song as normal.

    Anybody else getting this problem?

Check the info on the song in itunes that it doesn't have a different start time set on it.

Big Gig, I didn't even know those options were there! But, no, everything is quite normal in iTunes.

The only other thing I can think of is 'shake to shuffle' turned on in settings.
