Rent Supplement

Hi, need to rant for a bit! Apologies about the longish post..

Basically I applied for rent supplement about a month ago. The local office is only open for 1 hour a week so I've had to go down a queue up a couple of times. I was told everything was in order and that someone should call in a few days. I made sure I was in the house until 5pm for nearly 2 weeks but no one called.
Today I got a phone call when I was in the supermarket.......it was my local officer. She asked was I at the house, I said "No, not at the minute...". She then literally said "Ok that's fine then, bye" and hung up.
Wtf? What do I do now? Queue up again?? Would it have killed her to allow me to explain that I can be at the house in 5 mins?
Totally sick of this sh!t, it's a full time job just dealing with these people. I know they have to deal with a lot of scumbags and spunges but if she looked at my documents she would know that I'm only out of work a couple of months and have been renting here for nearly 5 years.---snip---
