Hi, We went to an eye specialist yesterday who has said our son has a turn in his eye and is longsighted so will need glasses. We went private to see the eye specialist as there was a long wait going public so the cost was 150 euro. We are still in shock really, he is only 2 and a half. Please God he will be ok wearing glasses and no one will say anything hurtful to him..

Today went to get the glasses which cost another 150 euro. The person we dealt with today said we would be entitled to a refund of 50 euros but I can't find the form on the internet.. He said it was a yellow form.. Does anyone know where I can find this form. I don't know if its a HSE thing? Thanks for any help.

You're right, you should still be in shock over that €50, don't worry too much for too long about the poor child!

just get a copy of the prescription and bring it to your local hse office and theyll print you out a purchase order for the opticians you bought the glasses from. Just give it to them and they will give you a refund.

    Hope this helps
