    Basically,
I wanna cancel NTL tv. Have the broadband, but keeping that (its only an extra 7euro a month extra on its own)

So do i have to give them 30 days notice? or can I just ring up and cancel?

    cheers.

no you cant just ring up but if your finished your contract not sure. Letter 30 days notice ask them for the date there going to terminate your sevices and ask for awknowledgment of the letter you sent as it may get 'lost' in the post:)

The 12 month tv contract has ended. It ended in March.
I have recently got NTL broadband (however I was told if I cancelled the TV package it would not effect the 12 month internet contract) .. however I didnt ask about 30 days notice :P

I cancelled eircom broadband and had trouble with them... after 14 years with them you'd think you wouldnt need 30 days  but they did.

Wondering if NTL are the same.

Gonna have to ring them up anyway to remove the tv, dial 1908 (freephone number) tomorrow and someone will sort it out for you .

Yeah there is a notice period and they ask for it in writing / email. Also they will ask you to arrange pick up of the cable box or you might end up paying for keeping it.

It's actually €7.75 but the savy thing to do is to get the phone package enabled seeing as that's only €6 a month (instead of paying €7.75) - then just not use the phone service (obviously don't take the physical phone that they offer, as that has a one-off charge).

I know it's only €1.75 saving per month, but hey - better in your pocket than in theirs ;-)

So just got cut off from UPC, their bill arrived 1 week and 4 days late, on the notice it gives only 14days to pay, needless to say it wasn't done so we were a week late... however we're only given 14days to pay yet we must give 30 days to cancel, Is this Legal? I know the contract is up and the last place I lived we had 30 days to pay what's up with this???
