removeing a programe

    a programe was downloaded and i cannot remove it in uninstall programes .it says to shut down the programe but i canot find it runing so cannot remove it . any ideas how to remove it , hope this is in the right forum . thanks .

    try revo uninstaller

    I'm assuming you've tried Ctrl-Alt-Del and searched the processes for the program to make sure it's not running in the background somewhere...

    hi do i have to download revo from the net , dont think i have that on the computer .

    yeah it wouldn't be preinstalled but it's a only a 1.5mb download package and it's pretty good... it's never let me down yet anyways

    Try doing a search from the start menu, when the name of the program appears in the right hand column, right click on it then click on open containing folder, once that is open see if it contains an uninstaller for that programme. Double click on that if it is there and it should uninstall it for you.

    Or just use the revo programme.. :)
