    Additional Information

    Pub League Explained

    Each JP Poker Pub League runs for six months, April 1st through September 30th and October 1st through March 31st. At each qualifying game, the top ten finishers will receive points. Once a player has accumulated 7,500 points, he or she is qualified for the league final. The total points that a person accumulates over the league will be the amount of chips that he or she starts with in the league final. Money will be withheld from each game to make up the prize pool for the league. This prize pool total will be split between the league’s top finishers, money added games for each venue, and the league final. Twenty percent of what is withheld from each weekly game is the amount that will be added back to that game on a specific date at the beginning of the new league. The other eighty percent is paid out to the top league finishers and the league final finishers with the majority to the league final finishers.

    The points are based on the amount of players in the game, i.e.
    1st = 100 * number of players
    2nd = 90 * number of players
    3rd = 80 * number of players
    4th = 70 * number of players
    5th = 60 * number of players
    6th = 50 * number of players
    7th = 40 * number of players
    8th = 30 * number of players
    9th = 20 * number of players
    10th = 10 * number of players

    The amount of money withheld for the league from each game is based on the size of the prize pool, i.e.
    Prize pool €750 or less, €25 withheld
    Prize pool between €751 and €1000, €50 withheld
    Prize pool between €1001 and €2000, €100 withheld
    Prize pool between €2001 and €3000, €150 withheld
    Prize pool between €3001 and €4000, €200 withheld
    Prize pool over €4000, €250 withheld

    If a player has qualified for the league final but is unable to attend, he/she may carry the qualifying points forward to the next league final if they are higher than the points accumulated in the next league.

    There will be a €10 charge per player at the league final to help cover the dealer costs.

    Tournament Jackpot Explained

    From April 1, 2011, we will run a Tournament Jackpot for each of our pub league games. We will no longer have bounty prizes. Money will be deducted from the prize pool at each qualifying game and the Jackpot will accumulate until it is won. The Jackpot will be awarded to the first person who wins three qualifying tournaments at the same league game. Once the Jackpot has been won, a new Jackpot League will commence.

    Any game with a prize pool of over €500 is a qualifying game. €25 will be deducted from a prize pool up to €1000 and €50 will be deducted on prize pools over €1000. If money is not deducted on the night, the win does not qualify towards the jackpot.

    If a game ends on an equity split or a deal is done, the chip leader is awarded the win.

    If we suspect that players have colluded in order to win the jackpot, no win will be awarded that night.

    The Molloys Saturday €45 Freezeout and the Molloys Monthly Deepstack will count as the one league game for the purpose of the tournament jackpot.
