    Would this be suitable for an attempt at roasting? The volume looks rather small. And no I will not be putting butter on thempopcorn.jpg

    Yeah, I use one (occasionally). Small batches work very well.

    Slaphead, is your popcorn maker the same as the one in the photo? Just making sure as not all types are suitable for roasting.

    OP - The lidl popcorn maker is perfect for roasting coffee.

    The clear plastic top parts melt as the beans heat up - you also get chaff blowing everywhere, but it does the job.

    It is a great investment to get you interested in roasting - I used mine for at least 4 months before buying a Behmor roaster.

    Yep, exact same model. A bit of water in the top 'reservoir' (usually used for butter) keeps the temp down and I use it outdoor because of the chaff blowing thing.
