I would like to operate a Rickshaw (3-wheeled non-motorised vehicle) in Galway City, I'd need driving licence and public liability insurance to do that. I have asked many insurance companies, but they don't cover.
Could anyone help me where to go??

    Thanks.

Speak to an Insurance Broker is your best bet. Why do you need a driving licence? Would you not need a permit from Galway council instead?

Can you name any insurance broker I can ask? I'm not from ireland so I'm really not familiar with these things.
I have to apply for the license at the City Council. They are the one who needs it. :S But they wont help me with the insurance, I've already asked, they said they couldn't tell me this info. I don't really get it... Who would they hurt if they told me where to go??

A driving license would not be required but I would say from an insurance point of view having either a car or motorbike license could demonstrate that you would have an understanding of the rules of the road and "should" be safer than someone with none.

I saw a Rickshaw in the back of Pearse Street Garda station, must have been seized, would have been priceless seeing the poor Garda having to bring that back to the station :D

It is not required in Dublin, but it is in Galway. And this licence is not about knowing the rules, it is just about pay the E100/year and have the liability insurance.

Few days ago I heard that Garda took one of the rickshaw from a guy, because he didn't have the licence, and they said he could get it back for E1500. And they actually took it to the Garda Station. But the next day the guy made a complaint, and got the rickshaw back.
