Okay folks first time poster here. Hoping someone can help finding good value tyres for my Passat.

Any recommendations on where I can pick up decent quality and decent value 235/45R/17s? I'm based in Dublin.

    Thanks in advance folks.

Have a play around with this.
I have used them in the past and would reccomend them.

    http://www.eiretyres.com/

The price includes delivery to your door.
Any small local tyre place will be happy to fit and balance them, and dispose of the old ones, for approx. €10 per tyre.

More like €20 per tyre. Everywhere around where I'm living 20 is the cheapest.

Camskill.co.uk are usually cheaper for tyres than eiretyre.

When I got mine from them the local tyre fitters charged 15euro per alloy (for fitting, balancing and disposal of the old tyre) x 4 so 60euro all in.

Falken 452s are what i fitted cant fault them in anyway except for wear. Fronts lasted about 8-9k (Passat is front heavy with the diesel lump).

Grand, but it's a €10 in these parts, a large provincial town.

+ 1 for Camskill. I also had Falkens on my B6 passat and also found them wearing very fast. I now have Kumhos and find them an overall good tyre.

Anybody ever try this crowd for part worns?:

Just a personal preference but would not go for part worns just me.

I have found kwik-fit in newry to be good value not sure if they are as competitive down south.

Thanks for all of the valuable info people, looking at some of the prices there for buying them from the web-sites and paying for disposal of old tyres etc. works out pretty expensive.

I think it will be a fast fit visit in order as it's really not worth the hassle! I only need 2 tyres really. 1 on the rear passenger side and 1 on the front driver's side. She's a 2 litre daaaaaaisel for the record though!

You should really have the same tyres on each side. ie same on left and right front and same on left and right rear. Don't have to be the same back and front just on each axle if you get me...
