I have booked flights for late October in Lanzarote, can anyone recommend a resort or accomodation for that time of year?

I have never been to Lanzarote, just want a few chill out days but not too far from bars in the evening.

    All suggestions appreciated.

You can try Puerto Del Carmen. Plenty of pub nearby and nice beach. Plenty of hotel and apartment close by.

the airport is about half way between the towns of Arrecife and Puerto Del Carmen, del carmen is the more touristy location though, lots of bars

we stayed at the elena aparts when we were there, right in the middle of town, all the bars within easy walking distance, beach just a minute walk away, apartments big and clean http://www.otel.com/hotels/elena_apartments_hotel_puerto_del_carmen.htm

We've been to costa teguise twice now and love it.

The night life isn't mad, but there are plenty of good bars with live music and some very good restaurants. There are a couple of clubs and even a drag show.

Also plenty of Irish bars with live Irish bands as well if that's what floats your boat.

The beach is very good and you can hire windsurfers etc there.

It is a bit further from the airport than Puerto Del Carmen, but still only €25 by taxi.

We have stayed in the Luabay which is good, but only does all inclusive which gets a bit monotonous and we have also hired a villa.

There's one on the outskirts of Pto del Carmen and one on the outskirts of Costa Teguise.

I would never have the patience for golf! No doubt there's some reviews out there, google might help.

Renting a car to explore the island is good for a couple of days away from the beach.
