TV3 : Farmers - A Year On The Land "filmed in HD"

I had just finished watching Some Mothers Do Ave Em on TV3 on Saorview yesterday evening when another programme came on called "Farmers – A Year On The Land" and I noticed that the continuity guy said something like "This programme was filmed in HD".

Did anyone else notice this? Naturally I had to have a look just to see how well it looked. It didn't even look like upscaled HD, definitely SD.

What was the point of mentioning HD when their entire output is carried in 544x576i resolution?

Yeah, I noticed the TV3 guy said that too. I suspect to fool the less informed into thinking "oh wow, HD TV". What a pointless statement for TV3 to make though!
