Clock restoration courses?

    hi there, is anyone aware of any clock restoration (case and movement) courses? any leads at all would be welcome. cheers

    Sorry, can't help you but suggest if you don't get any answers here that you should ring a top class jewellers such as Weir's in Grafton St Dublin or any other one you might know, and ask for some contact information because they have to send clocks and watches to be repaired somewhere. Good luck!

    I recently had my Grandfather clock restored by a clock-maker near athy. He did a very good job delivered it to my house and all.I believe he gives courses in west clare.He was recommended by a friend to me.He has a website http//www.clockrepairireland.com

    A friend of mine did the course run by Austin at www.clockrepairireland.com
    The course was run in West Clare - Kilrush. He said it was very informative. Apparently Austin is one of the recognised clock / grandfather clock experts in Ireland. I just looked at the website. It has all the contact information.
