Yeah, have it all. No point knowing everything if you don't have anything to work with.

    Neither.

Coz no-one likes a smug cunt.

I know enough to know that I'll never have it all.

What's the reason for being reasonable?

    Is that an unreasonable question?

    Have it all! Definitely.

I like to think of myself as a fairly intelligent individual! No genius, but yknow!

Knowledge/intellect is a great thing but you can always read and learn new things (sure that's half the fun) but 'having it all' doesn't come so easily!

Depends what "all" is. Have it all sounds better but don't really want AIDS.

I think have it all. Ignorance is bliss so combine the 2! I'd be dumb and delighted.

I'd rather know it all and have enough.

Characters like Wayne Rooney and LeBron James for example 'have it all' but I wouldn't want to be either of those thick-as-shít scum.

knowledge is power...and therefore money if thats what you want

so therefore if I knew it all (in the true sense of the phrase) I could also have it all......I would in fact be God.

therefore I would choose knowing it all.

    did I win anything?

The thread name sounds like a the name of a new quiz show that will be handed to Gaybo now that he's back at the RTE... it would suit his smug demeanor right down to the ground:D

I used to have it all but didn't know it, now I haven't got it all and man do I know it. So....yes is my answer.

To have it all, but not know about it seems like a bit of a challenge.

I'd like to know it all, then I can give the have it alls a helping hand.

I'm married now so I'd rather have it all as I'm normally wrong these days according to the OH

My wife says she already has a "know it all" and she fancies trying a "have it all" to see if it's any better.

"thick-as-shìt"? I don't think it's fair to call either of those guys thick as shìt. If they were as think as you say they wouldn't be professional athletes, look at Rooney, the goals that he scores, the way he can read games and make passes. You need to be intelligent to do that, granted not academically intelligent but you need to be smart in other ways. Rooney makes the most out of his gifts as does LeBron James, that takes intelligence.

Now if they were gifted and threw it all away by getting locked up or by having a drink or drugs problem or whatever and wasted their talent then you might have a point, but as it stands I don't agree with you.

Have it all, and distribute it liberally amongst those less fortunate, that I believe deserve it....

....the rest of the 'where's me handout?' crew, can kiss my arse, they can starve for all I care.
The country would be better off without them anyway.

Surely if you have it all that would include having all there is to know?

I reckon if I knew it all then I'd know how to have it all (including Jessica Alba and Scarlett Johannsen while waiting on one of them to tag Jessica Biel in to the bed)

    :D

Know it all, but I'd be a bit wary of the whole "weeping for there are no more worlds to conquer" thing. I like learning and finding stuff out, not just knowing it.

Not really into "stuff". Just gimme a decent internet connection and a couple of potted plants.

Neither. If you knew it all, there'd be no mystery left, and if you had it all, you'd have nothing to aspire to.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,207 ✭✭✭The King of Moo

Have it all, as long as I could then devote at least a portion of my time to knowing as much as I could.
I'd never know it all then, partly due to limited brain capacity, lack of interest in certain areas, and lack of motivation because I already have it all.

I'm also not sure if knowing it all would be so great either, as I think it would entail seeing lots of dark sides to the world you might not have been aware of previously.

What if you were a crime-solving billionaire?

But if I had it all, why would I have the motivation to solve crime?
Unless "it all" includes motivation :P

Anyway, I don't think I'd like knowing all about the details of gruesome crimes, tbh.

Might sound ridiculous, but I always want to have something to aspire to/work for!

    Have it all what exactly?

If you're talking about fame and fortune then yes!

On the other hand you could be talking about venereal diseases. In that case no.
