Motion 5 training?

I am an art director (from Australia) with over 20 years experience mainly in print. I'm now looking to move into motion graphics, particularly Apple's Motion 5.
Anyone around here know of any quality training in Dublin or Wicklow for this app? Whether it's in a class or private tuition doesn't bother me.

I know there's a few online tuts, but if you ask a question, they don't answer.
    Cheers.

Never heard of that program. Are you using Final cut? It looks like a cheaper alternative to After Effects, what I'd be worried about is you'd have to learn how to use this program to find out it's not up to an industry standard and then need to relearn something that can actually do what you need it to do. As far as I know After Effects is the daddy when it comes to this stuff.

It would be like learning to use paint shop pro only to find out you should have gotten photoshop in the first place.

But like I said I know nothing about this software so maybe I'm not giving it the credit it deserves.

I'm quite familiar with Final Cut and just got the latest version (X) that all the pros hate, and thought I'd get Colour and Motion as well.
Motion is certainly industry standard, and I'd dare to say as good as After Effects despite it's price.
I reckon you could do anything just as well in either problem. (Now, I'm saying this from what I've seen online and being an experienced user of Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign...).
I have the whole CS package, and looking at both, Motion seems to have a better/simpler GUI. As I'm starting from scratch and teaching myself, this is pretty important.

Anyway, it seems that Motion does a pretty good job at motion graphics, and I need to do some 'kinetic typography' style videos for a startup's 'how to' videos for online.

I could plug away and learn it myself over time through trial and error, or I could sit myself beside a professional and 'fast track' it.

Hopefully, someone here can point me in the right direction.

I'm a windows user so I just don't know much about Apple stuff. If you have final cut I suppose it's good to stay in that product line for compatibly reasons.

Compatibility and ease of use is of course very important. I use the CS production suite and it is handy being able to right click a layer to go to photoshop or première and have all those files editable in any of the programs.

Your right though, getting an introduction to a program from an expert would really fast track things, I've been learning the CS suite at my own pace for months now. Maybe get the basics down first so you can get to the hardcore stuff with the expert and save a bit of money on lessons.

Film base in Temple Bar run Final Cut training courses, I think they cover Motion too.
