    hi
i'm trying to find an external media player, such as lacie lacinema classic, that allows me to connect it to my home theatre system , so i can get the full surround system experience, lacie only uses the TV speakers .but not the surround system .
like with the sky box case , i can get the audio to my HT . any thoughts anyone :o

I've been using a WDTV for the last 2 years, it has an optical out and plays everything you throw at it. Quite cheap too at about £60 or £70. You can get a "live" version too that connects to a network so you can stream over it.

I got my WDTV from Amazon, it's free delivery too so works out pretty cheap still.

i tried the iomega, and i'm very pleased with it . the lacie lacinema was really bad , apart from the technical malfunctions , the fonts are too small i cant see the menus & titles properly , and it felt old .
but the iomega is very nice, very stylish & does the job it suppose to do. i will keep it :D

Nice one! i heard good things about the Iomega. I haven't tried it personally though so couldn't recommend it myself.
