Torrents & Eircom on Mac

I download alot from torrents which always stop downloading when i leave them (when connected to eircom) ie i start a download, go to bed in the hope it will be done in the morning but check it and generally see 10% and okbps downloading speed. I had this same issue with eircom in 2 other houses and did not have the problem with o2 so i have come to the conclusion it has to be something to do with eircom.

Has anyone had similar or can anyone recommend a good torrent program that may not have the same problem. (i use uTorrent)

    Thanks in advance

I think Eircom are actually the only ISP to prevent access to certain torrent sites

Can you actually get into the torrent site or do you have other torrents that you have downloaded recently via 02 and are now trying to download...?

I've had no problem with torrents on Eircom. I use Transmission but it's hard to see how your client would be the problem if it worked okay with O2.

Find the port you torrent client is using, logon to your router and open that port. Its called port forwarding.

Google your router, plenty of guides online.
