Unconfirmed reports that Gordon Brown details have been hacked by Sunday Times staff

Bound to be dull, dull dull.

i would have thought if this is true could mean serious trouble.

when he was chancellor, which i believe is equal to the minister for finance, he would have had access to alot of secret information and so should have had a secure phone.

in effect the hackers hacked straight into the governments network. which i presume is highly illegal.

Qualify for the Tower I'd say ... must be moving perilously close to treason if police officers were selling personal data on the Royals & Government ministers.

According to channel 4 news his sons medical details were hacked which revealed he had cystic fibrosis. If this is true these people need to be jailed.

Isn't it sad that noone has a problem believing someone would actually even think of doing this?

Like everything, its a double edged sword

A lot of corruption, lies, deceit and spin have been exposed by means that have probably been less than legal, but might not have been obtained otherwise

Unfortunately the same modus operandi has been "allegedly" utterly abused

Anywho, the news is about to get a whole lot less interesting.

    for that?

That's kind of meaningless in relation to anything restricted they could have found out chancellery/ exchequer / PM wise don't you think?

The man and his wife had literally just found out that their son has a serious condition that will undoubtedly decrease his time on this earth.

They then receive a call from none other than Rebekah Brooks saying that she knows and that she's putting it on the front page of The Sun that week.

Gordon Brown decides to steal her thunder and publicly announces the news before The Sun can benefit.

Brown subsequently told "oh that's not the way you'll play, you'll play the way we tell you" i.e. we'll decide whether or not you'll get elected so you better behave like a good boy.

    Disgusting.

Had we found out he was squirrelling away millions to an account in the caymans, I'm sure the reaction would be different.

    Where is the line?
