Buying 2 year Irish Government Bonds

Can someone please advise on how easy it is for a retail investor to buy Government Bonds? The current yield on the 2 year bonds has caught my eye - http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/quote?ticker=GIGB2YR:IND
The risk / reward is at a level I am happy with.

Say €3000 worth. Would there be any point or would the commissions negate any gains.

I don't want any running commentary on whether I should or shouldn't invest, that is a decision I have already made.

    Thanks
