    Hi Guys,

Need help with P45 issue I think....

Basically I have been working for this company for a couple of years while in college. As part of my course in college I do work placement but I was lucky enough to get PAID work placement.

With my current job I have been approved leave for 6 months so I don't get a P45 or anything...

Wont I need to produce a P45 for my new employer or how does it work?

its perfectly ok to have two jobs concurrently. You should ring the tax office and explain the situation to them, give them the new employers tax registration number and ask that your tax credits/allowances are split whichever way you think would be best for you. You might be well off getting all allowances given to the new employer on a Week 1 basis but if you explain your situ to tax office, they'll help you. Explain to your new employer that revenue are sorting out your credits/allowances and a new tax certificate should be sent them soon.
