Quick Legal Aid Question

    Hi there -

If you have been represented in the past by a legal aid board centre in the Circuit Court, a ruling is given in that case - you appeal this ruling to the High Court but the Legal Aid board come off file. While this case proceeds it happens that you are instructed to apply for legal aid again by the Judge. You apply for legal aid in a different centre in a different county.

The latter Legal Aid board refuse to accept your application because you were with a different centre before. Are you obliged to return to the same law centre that acted for you in the Circuit Court?

I understood you were permitted to apply to the centre of you choice - is this not the case here? Can you appeal their refusal?

Thanks for your answers in advance.
