I am having a major repair done (gearbox, 1000e+) and I was wonder; is it reasonable to ask the garage for a warranty for that repair. Let's say 3 or even 1 month. If you are paying the garage 1000+ to repair your gearbox then it goes without saying that a reputable garage would stand over their work.

Most will have a set warranty on mechanical repairs.
