Today, I got lost in Manhattan. As I stood on the sidewalk trying to get someone’s attention for a little assistance, 25+ well dressed business folks blazed by me, purposely avoiding eye contact. Finally a teenager with spiked green hair and a pierced lip stopped, smiled and gave me perfect directions. MMT

I seem to have a face that says stop and ask for directions. Unfortunately I am fairly crap at giving them and when put on the spot I panic and cant remember my left from my right. But having said all that I would definitely help someone out if they were lost without hesitation whether I would actually be of any help is up to the asker.

If I was in Dublin I wouldn't ask a person in a track suit for directions, or for a recomdation to a good coffee shop. That's city life...

I don't think it's whether they have suits or not, more like whether they're busy or not. Ofc suits are more likely to be heading to/from work or something so you're more likely to notice them but the trend is busy people!

Its not about giving directions its will you your personality stop. or are you the person that just walks. The source is just there purely to entertain people who want to read the whole thing.

What it is is 'they' class business people as this snobby arrogant a*** and that a teen is the one that helps.
