Well lads, long time since I've been on boards...

Have a quick question I'm hoping someone may be able to help me with, does anyone know where ya can get a pair of magnums with the steel/safety toe and a zip on the side in Ireland. Something like these

Check out COFRA boots too, same design including side zip, but I find them much lighter and far more comfortable than the Magnums.

Have a look at boots from 5.11 tactical, composite saftey toe and really light. I got a pair from here http://www.team-alpha.ie/section.php/6/1/boots

@redsurfer - I completely misunderstood and misread your post. I thought you just had a link to an adverts.ie pair you were looking to sell. I didn't realise you had a business. I'm sorry, but we can't allow free advertising on this site by a for-profit business. Your posts and the ones which followed have been deleted. If anyone is interested in redsurfer's business, please conduct all dealings via PM.

Sorry for the misunderstanding and I hope you understand?

If you live in Dublin, pop over to Army Bargains just off Capel Street (side street next to AIB). Have been buying my Magnum Elite II boots there for the past few years, and I'd say they have others there.

The camping shop on Mary Street have some. Bought mine there.
Good thing I didn't buy online: I was looking for the same model as yourself, but they're too narrow for my big feet, and the size above was just too big.
I had to get the non-zip model.

Do the brick and mortar shops offer as good a price as the online stores though?

I have found the two shops mentioned here to be overly expensive with other products.

If your definite on your shoe size and exactly what model boot your looking for you can save a few quid by purchasing them online.

Magnums are very quick to break in
Which if you know boots is a bad thing

Which if the altbergs are good for driving and walking/running
    Say for mobile private security

I've got 4 Pairs of Altbergs about the place .. Finally listened to my mates after Magnums just kept failing .

I favour the P3 Aqua . Steel toe etc it does it all ... If you buy them and their a bit big throw an insole in .. Sizes can be an issues for some

They are very easy to sell on .... If you make a error

Wouldn't the zipped boots be a lot less waterproof though (when you might be ankle-deep in some form of liquid)? I can see the convenience angle OK.
