    ITV2, ITV3, & ITV4 channels are no longer available

    Update 26/05/2011:

We're pretty close to signing a number of contracts with similar content - we will be unveiling these new channels over the next coming weeks.

Just spent the weekend with broadband on and off. Getting very mad with UPC. They told me new channels were coming, that was 2 months ago. What is the alternative? I am paying them about €1200 per year.

Keep your broadband with them as, if you can get it, I think they are the best in Ireland. Same with their phone service. But move your tv to sky, you won't look back.

Go with Sunny's suggestion if your finances are limited. But if you subscribe to $ky, you could well end up paying €1200 for the tv alone:eek:

it all depends on budget, to pay the least amount possible go with upc. For the best quality upc broadband and sky tv.

Just keep in mind that UPC will charge an extra €7.75 per month for the broadband if you drop the TV. Nonetheless I'd still recommend it.

Do you have to pay that €7.75 if you take up the phone option?

I think getting the basic phone package is only €6 extra.

I wasn't happy at the title of the thread, however, since the thread has moved onto talking about UPC broadband, I'll leave it up and change the title.

Defamation laws people, please remember when titling your threads...

The extra €7.75 is charged when you don't take their television service

The €7.75 is a joke. I spoke with them about changing my home phone and broadband. Told me that my part of Dublin couldnt do phone but only broadband but said I would have to pay them an extra €7.75 because they couldnt provide me with phone that I wanted. Suffice to say I didnt join as it worked out more expensive than my current provider who does give me phone as well as broadband.

    How is it a joke?

its a discount they give to people for havign all three services. they would lose money by not charging it..

    eh discount?

    Not in my scenario.

For me it is a surcharge because they dont provide phone in my area which is poor.

It is also not for all 3 - just having phone and broadband means you do not have to pay it.

Yes it Does - having even the basic phone will take out the standalone fee

    ?

I basically said having 2 of the 3 means you do not have to pay it.
A standalone charge of €7.75 applies to all broadband packs not purchased with or added to our TV or Phone service.
