Selling a Car

I'm looking to sell my car. It is in perfect condition but i've decided to do a bit of travelling so no point it sitting there for a yr or so I may aswell sell. I've only ever traded cars against a new one so I'm just wondering how I would go about selling it ... would a garage buy it? it's a 08 mini plus I have BMW warranty until 2013. Sorry if I come across as an idiot just not really sure how to go about this and i just think selling to garage would cut out the hassle of a private sale

If a garage buys it off you they won't give you as much as your hoping for as they'll need to make a profit when they sell it on.
Your best bet is to clean the car up, take good photos and pop it up on Donedeal or carzone or something.
I can't stress enough about taking GOOD photos!

Clean car, all angles, some interior shots, taken in a large open space, in daylight, with a reasonable camera.

As you're a novice in the area of selling a car, be VERY carefull on how you take payment for the car if you get a sale.

Watch for SCAMS, counterfeit cash etc etc. Protect yourself.

If it's an 08, you probably have the TLC servicing package until 2013 - not warranty.

always make sure you get the person to come to your house, check the logbook and always ask for service history and don't be afraid to ask questions, trust your gut instinct
