Calling Hyundai Tucson owners - I need your help!

Just bought a 07 Tucson CRDI for the wife today, bit of a bargain.... but the A/C system isnt blowing cold at all. Once I got her home I checked that it "did" in fact have an A/C condenser and pipes etc - all looks ok, but it looks like I'm missing a valve or something on one of the pipes.

Can someone take a picture or even better let me know what is meant to be here (on the 1st pic). I've got the H & L ports on the front and near the firewall - the one that is missing is near the washer bottle.

Also, looks like I'm missing a bracket for the radiator - see last pic - can someone take a pic of one of theirs so that I can see what I'm missing?

    Appreciate the help!

    Pic 1 - the missing valve/part

Pic 2 - H port intact (by front radiator)

Pic 3 - L port intact (rear firewall)

Pic 4 - improvised cable tie bracket

No.... no signs of accident damage... more a case of "shoddy" personal servicing I think!

There should be a pressure sensor somewhere along the lines, if there is no sign of that then i'd say thats whats missing.

The only reason I suggested possible accident repairs is on an 07 Tuscon it would be very unlikely that the rad or ac system would need to have been touched for any reason.

Before you go worrying have you checked the pollen filter in the glove box? Common problem in Tucson/ Sportage and about 15 euro for a new one. That's assuming that you are getting air, just crap air at powers 1 through 4...

Just because you cant see any signs of accident damage doesn't mean there is none, TBH the most likely cause of the missing part and cable tie bracket is accident damage repair. From the pics there looks to be paint worn from the rad hose clips and from the head of the screws near the HP connector

The only personal servicing someone can do on the AC system is using one of those aerosol that you buy in halfords, which only involves removing the dust cover off one the valves and connecting the can.

As for whats missing i don't know, try the parts dept. of your local Hyundai garage, go in and ask them what missing, bring the pic's. They may even let have a look under the bonnet of a car they have there
