    hey,
    i heard about a law that allows young children to apply for a divorce from a parent if he/she does not want to see that parent again and if he/she is scared and not safe to be with them.

    is this true and if so were can you go to get this done and is it allowed in IRELAND.

    id be really greatful if someone could help me please!!!!!!!!

    I believe you mean emancipation of minors. From my knowledge and a quick google, there are no emancipation laws like this in Ireland.

    If your parent is abusing you, you should contact the Gardai or childline.

    If it is a matter of abuse then the child can contact childline, the HSE or the Gardaí. The HSE and Gardaí can remove the child to a place of safety if necessary. In addition, I think the HSE can also apply for protection orders on behalf of the child.
