how is the distance measured? by using google maps and other distance measuring sites on the net, if i type in my home address and the college address, it says 41km. but if i type my address then the name of the area, ballyfermot, it says 44.9km for one route and 51km for another.. theres a few other combinations that i typed in, and got all sorts of distances. ranging from 30 to 55.. i'l be getting the bus up and sadly no buses go directly from where i live to the college, so i have to get two buses to the city then to the college, which ads up to well over 50km.. so.. i have no idea what to make of it haha

It's as the crow flies as far as I know. Im not sure if they calculate your home village(house) or town though. I'm 41km as the crow flies from the town, to the collage, abit more if they do it from my house :(

The Dept. of Education have decided that the distance is to be measured as the most direct road route to the college. Hope this helps

    Yes one way

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

If you are too near, I'd try and move college...
