Hey just curious where students who hope to start in DIT in Sept are applying for accommodation? There's not much student accommodation around really it seems as i have been looking myself online so I wonder is private accommodation the way to go??

Read the post on accommodation in this thread here, hope it's of some use to you. Having never lived away from home before and considering it this year, I imagine things will start to appear in August that are orientated towards students.

I've only heard that they're strict enough. Which will suit some people and not others. Wouldn't suit me :pac:

Having not lived away from home before I can only go on experiences of classmates' places. Which DIT are you hoping to attend?

Drumcondra is a good place to start looking. Failing that, Smithfield.

have a twin room at €300 per month straight across form Bolton Street college (need 2 peeps to share) You'd be going in with a 2nd year in Cathal Brugha - which is real easy to get too from here and safe - pm me if interested, split on esb and utilities as they arise

Does anyone know what National College of Ireland accomodation is like?? It seems too good to be true its very reasonably priced at €2600 a semester (€130) a week including all utility bills except esb but they said the esb cards are available to buy in the shop next door at €5 a card but they said 1-2 cards a week would be the max you would use.

Oh ya all rooms are ensuit aswell.

Its in a great location as well, right next to the luas and it seems within a very reasonable distance to DIT bolton street as well..

Does anyone have any information on what it is like there?

    Thanks in advance,

    Tommy-Kerry:cool:

This location would definitely suit somebody going to Bolton St. or Cathal Brugha St.

Southside campuses should look elsewhere. Anyone have any experience of the Gateway apartments that they'd like to share?
