So why call them pesky ? I know it's probably in jest but that falls in with the view that some people see them as pests and vermin.

There is plenty of them around the Knocklyon/Firhouse Dublin 16/24 area. I got followed home by a very aggressive adult (or just very large) one around 12am last night. They have no fear of humans at all.

At the end of the River Road (turn left) and between there and the first set of traffic lights (at the hotel entrance) every morning that's where I seem them early in the morning (about 7 - 7-30 a.m.)
