samos airport

I am trying to find out what airlines fly into Samos airport in greece.
Would someone be able to check it to confirm that all flights go to athens?
This is what I understand from my research which hasn't thrown up the airport site itself but only those flight portals.
Other sites seem to indicate that air berlin have some flights going direct from some german cities.
I had thought of going Dublin Athens with Aerlingus but they are very expensive and bless their little hearts but they stop flying mid september.
Samos is very close to Turkey, would it be worth while coming in from there? All those holidays to kusadasi, where do they fly into?
Am I really stuck with two stopovers and almost a full day travelling?
One this is certain, accessibilty is a bitch for island living. Wouldn't it be great to just hop in the car and drive.:)

It doesn't seem to be the easiest of places to get to, especially from Ireland, but here are a few options

I'll be doing this in a few days. Aer Lingus fly to Izmir twice a week, then ferry over to Samos.
