(So that's means no HK films, a tough sell huh

Right now we're planning and would love your input into what goes into the programme and how to make this an event you'd go to see. What mainland films have you seen already?

Beijing Bicycle?

I think that is the only Chinese film I have seen, the rest have been from Hong Kong or Taiwan

Nice, that's a classic and pretty well know outside of China. Where did you see that one? It's a couple of years old.

Another gem from 2001 is Suzhou river. The whole intro is here. Very 'different' than what you expect for a Chinese film. Can't recommend it enough.

Yep, HK and Taiwan do punch above their weight!

Was given to me by a friend, can't for the life of me figure out why it fell out of favour in the mainland.
