    hi all.
my dh has finally got a job. he has been unemployed for the past 2 years.
he recieves jobseekers allowance of 375 euro a week (for himself, me as a dependant adult and 2 kids) we also recieve mortgage intrest supplement.

now, the job is only part time, 19.5 hours a week. so can anybody tell me if he will be entitled to sign on for the other days? and does his 19.5 hours have to be spread over 3 days only, what if its spread over 4 days?? he asked down in social welfare office last week but they were in no way helpful at all, just told him to come back when he starts the job and they will give him some forms to fill out. but we need to know how much money we will have to manage on etc.

also does anybody know what will happen to the mortgage intrest supplemement?

from what i have found online, dh can work part time and still claim €202 per week on the part time job incentive scheme??
and then also because he will be working 19.5 hours, we would also be entitled to claim fis as we would still come in under the income limit for a family with 2 kids, of roughly €80 per week, im not 100% on this though.
and we would still qualify for mortgage intrest supplement but it will be reduced to 75% for the first year of employment, cwo's decision though.

if all of this is correct, we would still be breaking more or less even on the payment he recieves now, but he just wants to be out working, he's depressed and feels useless not doing anything, getting refused jobs all the time, this is the only 1 where he actually got an interview, so he's finally delighted to be back working.

oh, also...the job that he's starting requires that he does 3 weeks FULL TIME training, and will be paid full time hours for this, how will this affect his payment??? a few people have told him not to say anything to social welfare about it, but we dont want to do that as they would find out.

sorry for long post, any help greatly appreciated
