has been done, they told me it could be caused by using roundabouts...... nonsense i suspect

Rear passanger tyre was always the first to go on my car too, did the same for 50k miles while I had it. Alignment was always 100%.

    I blame roundabouts too :)

Id definitely suspect something wrong if the rear tires on any FWD car wore out faster than the fronts. Think about it, the fronts do all of the accelerating, most of the braking and probably most of the cornering.

OP never said the rears were wearing out quicker then fronts. 28k km is good for tyres imo, I was only getting about 10k miles out of fronts and 15k from rears.

I thought I read somewhere about unusual wear patterns on rear tyres and how it was caused by stability control braking individual wheels.

I guess if you were chucking the car into roundabouts hard, then that could happen to a degree, but I suppose you would really have to be throwing it about to cause serious wear.

It shouldn't be wearing badly on the outside.
The roundabout thing is complete and utter horsesh1t.
If the tyre is inflated correctly and alignment & suspension is hunky dorey the tyre should wear evenly.

My left rear was always the first to need replacement, the wear was even but quicker than the right rear. Plenty of roundabouts on my usual commute so I would think that is the cause. Alignment and tyre pressure were always spot on.

Dude, in fairness I'm on about the OPs situation :)
They have an issue where the outside of the back passenger side tyre is wearing noticeably.
