Sony's Qriocity: how does the 'Video on Demand' feature work?

If this belongs to a different forum, please move accordingly. Thanks.

Does anybody know anything about Sony Qriocity? I've a few questions:

    1) Is the Video on Demand feature available to consumers in the republic yet? If not, when is it expected to be available?

    2) When I buy a Sony TV, as I'm doing at the moment, what do I look for in it to ensure it's Qriocity compatible? (presumably it only works with Sony tvs?)

    3) With Qriocity, do you essentially watch (rather than download) movies of your choice by using your TV's internet connection to go to the Sony Qriocity website and choosing your film? If so, is the quality as good as blu-ray?

    4) Is there any necessity to buy a dvd or blu-ray player if I'm going to watch movies this way from now on?

    5) How much does this cost per month, or are you charged per movie? Is there anything else I'll have to purchase other than a Sony Bravia to use this facility?

    Thanks.

I emailed Qriosity about this about a month ago. I've misplaced the actual email but basically it's not available in Ireland and they don't know when it will be. I wouldn't hold your breath though. Video store on PS3 was supposed to be here years ago and still no sign.

You do get the music streaming here though but to be honest I don't see the point of tv's streaming music. Get a radio.
