Pedestrian access to & from Dublin Port - Irish Ferries terminal

Hi,

Just wondering would anyone know if it is possible to walk from the Irish Ferries Terminal at Dublin Port back into the city / area where the luas departs (around the Point), or do you have to take the bus ?

I see there is a special Dublin Bus bus for 2.50 euro from the terminal to busarus, but if you are a foot passenger on the boat, can you just walk up to the exit to the port , or is the port some kind of restricted area where pedestrians aren't allowed ?

Yes, you can walk all the way to the Luas. Here is the route:

The walk is not necessarily pleasant as you have trucks flying past you all the time. But it is interesting as you get to look at the different port facilities.
