    My father always had control of the money at home, when the mother wanted something he bought it for her

    Do married couple have separated bank account, or what is your is mine existed nowadays?

    Aint the simple solution a joint account where both throw money into for bills/rent/saving for whatever. Then seperate account for your own wages!
