NCT question

I have an NCT test tomorrow and I have one quick question.

Would an aftermarket cable (which I installed myself) attached to the back of my car radio for Ipod integration through the car radio speakers fail an NCT test?

The wiring is fine, it works fine and becomes dis-functional when I pull the keys out of the ignition so no danger of a fire or anything, but the wire comes out of the dashboard underneath the glove compartment and right up to the cup holder which I have an ipod holder placed inside the car cup holder (2000 Audi A4), its very clever idea but should it be ok for test?

doubt it would matter... not like a handfree kit or similar would be reason for failure. Can you tape it up neatly so its neat and hidden

I could tape it up with black tape but it would not hide the wire, It would keep it neatly attached to the dashboard but It would not be a driving hazard which is the main thing.

I dont think the test is done on the basis that things should be as they were when they left the factory, theres lots of room for modifications once the car is safe to drive and all functions function.

Found a solution. I managed to hide the wire from where it was coming out of the dashboard, I pushed the wire up neatly behind the car radio and even when your on the floor of the passengers side and you shine a torch on the wire where it was coming out,you cant see it at all. I will leave the connection there until test is over and then pull it out again after just incase.

You'll be fine. They won't have any problem with that cable.
