Finding the right orthodontist?

    Hi,

Ive been to two dentists and each have advised me differently. One dentist advise me on getting invisalign braces, then when i went to another local dentist to get a filling done she said that invisalign wasnt suitable for me and that the Damon Systen of braces would be better.

I cant help feel like they are mere sales people trying to promote a brace type that suits them.

Where do i find an orthodontist who will advise me honestly on what system i should get? Im in the Dublin/Meath area.

Go to a orthodontic specialist that does all systems then you will find out which one is for you. General dentists usually have limited training in orthodontics.

    See here http://www.orthodontics.ie/

We have recommended you go to a proper orthodontist two other times on this forum on two other threads, go see one and get a specialist opinion.

    Hi there

It doesnt matter what type of brace you get, it is the skills of the person using it that is important. There is no one brace system that is better than another despite what the manufacturers and some dentists say.

Go to an orthodontist and discuss your options there. If you are not comfortable with the advice given to you so far, then try somewhere else.

    good luck
