I sold a laptop on ebay, packaged it well, sent it by registered mail with a insured value of 100 euro. The buyer contacted me and sent me pictures of the screen broken... I am fuming!! An post must have really rough handled it or stepped on it to break it... I told the woman in the post office it was fragile... Can i do anything about this?
Would i be better off requesting the buyer to send me the laptop back and show it to an post along with the receipt and offer a refund minus PandP?
    OR
Offer the buyer a partial refund, which he is open too and let him keep the laptop....

As i am at a lose too and it really was not my fault as i done everything correctly... and it cost me 20 euros alone to post.

    Thanks

If you want to claim any insurance, you will need the laptop and it's packaging returned to you to make that claim. The recipient cannot make a claim. If you let the recipient keep it, and give a partial refund, you'll be out of pocket. Up to you what you want to do.

If you are going to have your buyer return it to you it would be best to refund in full including the original postage, if it goes to a dispute with either eBay or PAyPAl then thats what he will get.
