Just bought a Sony Bravia KDL-32EX523 and noticed that there is a TV3 player app on it to allow you to watch thru the tv. The Sony also has a browser but does not support flash. Just wondering if anyone knows if RTE will be making RTE player available thru the Sony bravia as they already make RTE Player available thru the PS3. I was very surprised to even find the TV3 app as I did not think they made apps for tvs.

Just spotted it last night as well. A lot of content on there too.

Won't get my hopes up of RTÉ following in TV3's steps on this one any time soon.

Out of interest what kind of content is on TV3 that is attractive? I have to admit apart from CL soccer and sports news desk I never watch any other material from this channel.

Didn't say attractive as such but at least the content is available on yet another platform, which is always welcome :D

    Pictures attached.

Not sure that will work as the browser does not support flash. Will try it tomorrow.

I have emailed RTE and informed them about the official TV3 app on the Sony Bravia's and asked them whether RTE have any plans to release their own app.

Well since rte have the xl player wouldn't it more about trying to get Sony to put some flash support on their tv's?

How do you find the Sony - looking at the 40" version of this one on Amazon and would be interested in any feedback

No complaints thus far - very impressed with it.

Watching RTE 2 HD via the built-in Saorsat and also HD satellite channels and the pic is great.

Only thing annyong me is that I cant figure out how to download more Bravia apps. Twitter and Facebook come installed on the tv.

Up to what size do amazon deliver? 40" would be nice.

I have a Sony BDPS370 Blu-ray Player, which doesn't have a browser but let's you access certain online content e.g. Youtube, Sky News. I had a look at it yesterday and the TV3 app is now available also.

Did a "Refresh Internet Content" on my Sony KDL-40EX403 and hey presto, TV3 app has now appeared.
