Petrol or diesel? You may need citroen Lexia software and cable.

EDIT, I think it was from 2003 diesels had to be standard so any of the code readers should do. The basic ones will just give you the fault code stored in the car, it wont give you the details a proper one will.

As Guy:Incognito has said lexia 3 is the way to go for citroen/peugeot.
Both peugeot/citroen have used this tool up to now..all you need is an xp laptop to load on the software...:)
The newest software peugeot/citroen use with the lexia cable is diagbox but there are alot of teething problems with diagbox atm so i'm sticking with lexia...:)

    e.g. of lexia 3

Agreed Row, I had every engine wire off a Citroen recently and found so many problems. One failure can spark a raft of errors. You need Lexia (yeah it is dodgy but it works) to have an idea of what is triggering lights.

You can have 5 errors, all related to one connection to the ECU. Fix one bad wire and they all go out. Then you can wipe the codes, start over and work back to what is wrong, rather than following the dealer path of, "sensor error, replace all sensors".
