iPad/ iPad2

    I'm thinking about getting some sort of an iPad, and was just wondering if anyone has either the original or the 2nd one and if so is there much of a difference? Is the iPad 2 worth the extra money or would the first one be just as good? Or would a htc tablet or something else be any good or better than the apple range?

    I had a One and sold it to get a 2, turn to the faster speed and camera.
    If you need a camera for facetime/skype get a 2.

    You should be able to get One's cheap on adverts.ie now.

    Probably €100 in the difference, this is really just for cameras. iPad 2 is a nice bit lighter and all but there's not much out there to make use of the extra speed, display is the same as 1. For casual, iPad 1 offers better value IMO. That said, I love my 2;)

    I had planned to switch to the 2 but didn't have the cash. I'm glad now, the only difference would have been the camera. In my opinion get the first one, it's still amazing.

    I'd recommend getting the iPad 2 if you can. I love my iPad 1, but I could definitely do with the extra speed and memory for web browsing, tabs, etc.

    ipad 2 all the way, faster plus the smart cover thing is actually very handy.

    i have the 1 and love it but if rumors are right, there will be a 3 in sept/october, so if you can hold off till then I would.

    The latest rumours suggest that if there's a new iPad coming in that timeframe that it'll be a Seperate product "ipad HD" aimed at the pro market. It does make sense as the notion of the iPad2 only having a shelf life of six months doesn't add up.
