During the 3 days bank holiday this august is held a sports festival including lots of different sports (music and food too).
There will be for example, gaa, soccer, hockey, basketball and many more. Events and tournaments are planned for all level of play and ability.

I also read on their facebook this morning that the John Aldridge Legends XI will play a Balincollig XI on Saturday 30th July at 4pm:
"The Legends team will feature ex Man Utd, Liverpool, Celtic and Irish Int'l Players."

Anyone going? Already heard about it? :)

Just to post a follow-up, an article appeared this morning in The Examiner which included some further details of which legends would be participating. These include John Aldridge, Jason MacAteer, Rob Jones, John Wark, Liam O'Brien, Keith Gillespie, Tommy Johnson, Tom Boyd, Darren Jackson and ... Ken Doherty! Let's hope he leaves the cue on the sideline!! ;)

If you are interested in attending, you can contact us on spoirtfest AT gmail DOT com or drop me a PM - that's for either the match or the concerts.

    Thanks,
