    Hi All
Just scored a free Williams F1 racing wheel for nowt on Adverts and am having trouble setting it up for GT4 on my PS2.
Granted its my first wheel but still.
Anyone use one of these? Advice would be great
I dont get any response from the "x" button on the wheel, few others too.
    Steering and pedals do nothing
    Here's the wheel... http://www.adverts.ie/playstation/ps2-williams-f1-team-joytech-25-ono/334497
    Regards

Did you set up the controls properly in order to use the wheel and pedals?

There's 3 different steering wheel configurations and I'm not sure what I'm supposed to be doing
Will play around with it a bit more.....
Man my kingdom for a manual... tried everywhere :(

    Cheers

Ok after messin with it for a bit heres the rundown:

    1. Unplug the pedals and the buttons on the wheel work as they should, but turning the wheel does nothing, steering only possible by d-pad on wheel.

    2. Plug pedals in and x button no longer works and L2 becomes shift up instead of down, while R2 then does nothing. Pedals also do nothin

    3. There is a general steering configuration and then two others, one for GT Force and the other for Driving Force Pro..

Would really love to get this baby working but gettin fustrated atm :P

    Regards

Are you able to change the button configuration?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,536 ✭✭✭hamsterboy

Yep with the pedals unplugged I can change all the button configs. The steering dropdown is greyed out :(

What about for the bog standard wheel config rather than the GT Force or Driving Force Pro wheel configurations?

There's very little to be configured here

Bugger... can't find any manual for the model number :( nor any link to Joytech.

Maybe the folks in Racing Sims can help you out. They'd have more steering wheel knowledge than I do.
